This is a reminder that all 10th grade students will participate in the PSAT tomorrow, Wednesday, October 22, during regular school hours, unless an opt-out form was submitted by the deadline. The students should have been given their testing location from their 1st period teacher.
The PSAT allows students to familiarize themselves with the SAT format. It is also an opportunity to earn a concordant score for the state of Florida’s required Algebra and ELA tests for graduation.
Please be sure that your student has a good night’s rest and a healthy breakfast in the morning. If you have any questions, please contact your student’s guidance counselor.
Thank you and have a great evening and go Panthers!

Please join us this Thursday night at 6:00 p.m. in the MHS auditorium. We will be discussing graduation requirements, transcripts, and how to get ready for Senior year.

If you and your child missed the first session of our Parent–Student Book Study on Unbroken: An Olympian’s Journey from Airman to Castaway to Captive by Laura Hillenbrand — it’s not too late to join!
You can view a virtual video recap of our first Parent & Family Engagement Night by visiting:

Then, be sure to join us for our second meeting on Thursday, November 6, in the Milton High School Media Center at 6:00 PM.
If you need a copy of the book, please let me know, or have your 10th-grade student see their English Teacher to pick one up.
We’d love for you and your child to participate in this worthwhile and inspiring event.
If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me at weaverg@santarosa.k12.fl.us.

Dear MHS Parents/Guardians and Faculty,
At Milton High School, we believe strong schools are built through open communication and shared goals. We’re sharing two important documents that guide our work and reflect our progress:
1. 2025–2026 School Improvement Plan (SIP)
Review our priorities, goals, and strategies for the coming year:
Link: https://bit.ly/MHS-SIP-2025-2026
2. School Public Accountability Report (SPAR)
This is our official “school report card” for last school year from the Florida Department of Education:
Link: https://edudata.fldoe.org/ReportCards/Schools.html?school=0151&district=57
We value your input. After reviewing the SIP, please share any feedback or questions.

Milton High School lost a true legend today – Coach Hurley Manning.
Coach Manning served as the head football coach of Milton High School for 21 years, from 1968 through 1988. During his tenure, he led the Panthers to the state runner-up title in 1972 and to back-to-back state championships in 1978 and 1979.
For more than two decades, he poured his heart into Milton football and has been a cornerstone of our community for most of his life.
In honor of his memory, Manning Field will be lit throughout this day. On our crest is the phrase “Sit Lux"- which means "Let your light shine.” Coach Manning truly lived by those words, and his light will continue to shine through the countless lives he influenced.
Coach Manning, thank you for the memories, the victories, and the lasting legacy you leave behind. You will be greatly missed.

Check out this amazing video that truly captured the excitement of the event! A huge thank you to Mrs. Thorpe for leading the charge in organizing such a successful night and for putting together this highlight reel. 👏👏
